Can you game on an Integrated Intel GPU in 2023?
The Intel Xe Graphics is an integrated graphics card in the new Intel 13th Gen CPUs. The GPU has a Graphics Max Dynamic Frequency of 1.25 GHz and has 64 Execution Units. The performance depends on the TDP settings of the laptop and the used cooling and the performance should be around a dedicated GeForce MX350 in 3DMark benchmarks.
For gaming, you can expect a bit worse performance compared to most dedicated GPUs but its solid for an integrated GPU, especially for one at this price. Many games had problems when testing the graphics such as Call Of Duty Warzone 2.0 but most games seem to run on this and not crash. Less demanding games like Valorant, Counter-Strike, and Fortnite ran fine without having to lower the resolution and had good framerates.
Regarding the CPU here, you get the newly released Intel Core i3-1315U which contains 6 Cores and 8 Threads. Intel Core i3-1315U also has reasonable threaded performance that will serve well in games. It comes with really budget Laptops as well and you can get one easily for under $400-$500.
